Drug bust in La Ronge results in trafficking charges

La Ronge RCMP executed a search warrant March 1 and now five people are facing charges.
La Ronge RCMP executed the warrant at a residence on Brown Street in La Ronge, according to an RCMP press release. During the search, officers seized cocaine, drug paraphernalia, electronics, Canadian currency, firearms and a vehicle.
Allard Halkett, Steve Halkett, Sarah McKenzie, Shelley Natomagan and Gail Bradfield have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
All subjects have been released from custody and will make their first court appearance in La Ronge Provincial Court on May 3.
