RCMP charge 34-year-old woman in relation to search warrant in Star City

Melfort RCMP have charged a 34-year-old woman after a search warrant was completed on Wednesday in Star City.

Crews executed the search at around 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of Sixth Street in Star City. During the search, methamphetamine, a taser, and two replica firearms were found. A powder suspected to be heroin was also found and has been sent to Health Canada for testing.

Erica Moostoos of Star City has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Moostoos was in court in Melfort on Thursday and will return on March 11.
