Fire ban in RM of Loon Lake

The Rural Municipality of Loon Lake No. 561 has declared a Level 1 fire ban for the area.
Council made the decision after viewing the dry and windy conditions in Northwest Saskatchewan. The ban will be in place until council has deemed conditions to have improved.
The Level 1 ban leaves some exceptions if there’s supervision and an extinguishing plan in place. This includes barbecues, approved fire pits and burning barrels with screens.
The RM joins five other communities in the region who’ve announced fire bans in the past 10 days.
