17-year-old boy arrested after stabbing incident

The La Ronge RCMP have arrested a 17-year-old boy who is accused of stabbing two adults; a man and a woman.

According to a media release, on Saturday at 12:30 a.m. the RCMP were called to the Lac La Ronge Indian Band following a report of the stabbing. Police said the investigation revealed the boy stabbed the two adults.

The two victims were taken to the La Ronge hospital and taken by helicopter to Saskatoon as a result of the serious injuries. The police will not be updating the public on their conditions.

The boy was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and two counts of aggravated assault.
