Drive-thru immunization clinics operating next two days in the Battlefords, Lloydminster

Availability for 44 year-old residents and older at the drive-thru immunization clinics in the Battlefords and Lloydminster continues today and tomorrow.

The Border City’s Exhibition Grounds location at 5521 49 Avenue is open from 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. both days, while the Battlefords clinic at 391 Yellowhead Highway closes at 8:00 p.m. tonight and is open from 9:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Both clinics may close early if all vaccine supply has been administered.

Travel restrictions related to an increase in variants do not apply to essential medical appointments, which includes immunization. Thus, residents may travel to outside communities to attend an immunization clinic, while advised to avoid other stops.

It remains a first come, first served process with those who had previous appointments encouraged to cancel those if attending a drive-thru clinic. Residents are being reminded that the current demand for appointments outweighs the current supply.
