Prince Albert man charged with child pornography offences

A Prince Albert man is in custody and will be appearing in provincial court on Thursday for two child pornography offences.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit charged 20-year-old Ryan Clark-McDonald following an investigation that began in December of last year.

They were investigating the access of child pornography through a popular online social media application. In April, ICE members executed a search warrant at a home in Prince Albert where they had traced the online activity. Child pornography was found and several electronic items were seized for further forensic analysis.

Clark-McDonald was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

The Saskatchewan ICE unit is coordinated by Staff Sgt. Shawn Stubbs of the Prince Albert Police Service and members from the Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Regina police services along with the RCMP.
