Multiple Horizon School Division schools move to online learning due to COVID-19 diagnosis’

A number of schools in the Horizon School Division are learning from home right now.

The division was made aware on May 5 of COVID-19 diagnosis at Humboldt Collegiate Institute (HCI), Wakaw School, and the George Gordon Education Centre.

As a result, Grade 9 students at HCI, and Grade 8 to 12 students in Wakaw will be learning from home until May 17.

The George Gordon First Nation Chief and Council will determine how long their students will learn from home.

Students at LeRoy school are also learning from home until May 17 due to a COVID-19 diagnosis a few weeks ago.
