On Friday, the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League (PGLL) announced they cancelled their 2021 junior season—the league the Prince Albert Predators play in.
The regular season and playoffs have been axed due to current health restrictions.
The PGLL did leave the door open for “some form of lacrosse to come in the near future” in their statement they released on Facebook, should provincial guidelines be eased. They also encouraged teams to train on their own.
The Predators won the 2018 PGLL junior championship, and got to the finals again in 2019 but fell to the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux.
