Three COVID cases for Light of Christ schools

Light of Christ Catholic School Division reported just three cases of COVID-19 last week in North Battleford schools.

The individual cases were found at Notre Dame School, École Monseigneur Blaise Morand and St. Mary School. No further details are being shared at this time for privacy reasons.

Parents, students and staff are being reminded of safety protocols. All three schools remain open at this time. A breakdown of the Government of Saskatchewan’s Safe School Plan is available online.

As of May 16, there are almost 600,000 vaccines administered in the province, 44,531 active cases, 41,932 recoveries and 517 deaths. Vaccine eligibility has dropped to 20 years of age or older and those 85 and older can now book their appointments for second dose, along with those who had their first dose prior to February 15. The current fatality rate for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan is 1.2 per cent.
