Correction: The SRPSD issued a correction to information they provided earlier.

The correct date for the classrooms is to isolate until midnight June 11, 2021. In addition the impact on affected bus routes is self-monitoring, no isolation necessary.

The Health Authority has confirmed a case of COVID-19 at Redwing Public School.

The Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division said staff and students associated with a Grade 2, and a grade 5 classroom will be required to self-isolate until midnight June 11, 2021. Those on related school bus routes will need to self-monitor.

The school division was informed of positive COVID-19 test results and communication is being shared with the classrooms/cohorts, the connected staff, as well as with the school community.

The learning program will continue remotely only for those students and staff affected while in-person learning will continue for the rest of the school.

Privacy concerns prevent sharing of further details of the case.

Editor’s note: this story was amended from the original to clarify the date to which affected students need to self-isolate and regarding status of school bus users.
