Assistance is now available to Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) members who lost food because of the four-day power outage last month.

That’s according to a public notice, which states those living on-reserve had a list of purchase orders (PO) sent to Keethanow Supermarket on June 1. Those living in Hall Lake and Sucker River had their lists sent to their local stores June 2.

Those living off reserve in Air Ronge, English Bay, La Ronge, Napatak, Potato Lake and Wadin Bay will have their list send to the Keethanow Supermarket on June 3. It was previously announced the purchase order will consist of $250 for every family unit and $125 for single members.

“LLRIB members who were allocated a COVID-19 PO in March will be on the list for a power outage PO,” the notice states. “If a band member is not on the list, they may call central office to inquire about it.”
