FYI Doctors donate $20,000 to Rose Garden Hospice
The Rose Garden Hospice received a $20,000 donation from FYI Doctors Tuesday afternoon.
Dr. Stephen Malec with FYI Doctors on 15th St. E. said they wanted to be part of the community project.
“It’s a useful and necessary facility and we wanted to be attached to it,” Malec explained, adding Rose Daschuk, who the hospice is named after, was a patient of his. “I started seeing her shortly after I moved here. She came to our office for a long time and so we wanted to make sure we acknowledged her memory and the time we spent together.”
The construction of the hospice was set to break ground in May but according to a statement on their website they “have been slightly delayed but plan to forge ahead shortly.”
