Man arrested for possession of crystal meth, theft
The Meadow Lake RCMP has arrested a man in possession of illegal narcotics following the use of gang suppression and violence reduction-focused initiatives.
On Thursday, local enforcement and the Prince Albert Integrated Crime Reduction Team executed two search warrants on separate properties. One was in the city, and the other was south of Meadow Lake. The ensuing investigation led to the recovery of a stolen side by side, a GMC Sierra, crystal meth, and a large quantity of ammunition.
RCMP then arrested 39-year-old Dustin Caplette and charged him with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of crystal meth, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Caplette was released by a justice of the peace ahead of a future court date.
