A suspect, wanted in connection to a shooting incident in Prince Albert’s west flat Saturday morning, learned the hard way they could not run from the law.

Police Service Dog (PSD) Kal was deployed to assist and located the suspect in the dense brush, west of the city.

Earlier that morning, police were called to the 1700 block of 17th Street W. for reports that suspects in a vehicle had fired at a residence and then quickly fled the area.

Police located the suspect vehicle west of the city along Highway 302. Two suspects were arrested following a foot chase, and the other suspect was apprehended by Kal.

Following the execution of a search warrant, police located a sawed-off firearm and ammunition inside the vehicle.

Two men, age 24 and 26, are facing numerous firearms-related charges in connection with this incident.

A 27-year-old woman was charged with failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and firearms-related charges.
