Local bridges, culverts getting funding from ICIP
The provincial and federal governments are providing funds for 12 Saskatchewan projects under the Rural and Northern Communities Infrastructure Stream through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.
Locally, there are a few projects getting some funds, including the Hamel Bridge in the RM of Bjorkdale.
“It’s an existing timber bridge,” said minister of Highways and Infrastructure Fred Bradshaw. “It’s going to be replaced with new precast concrete and steel.”
Bradshaw added that as the province continues to invest in highways and infrastructure, this is another way to help get the province out of the pandemic.
