President of the Battlefords Minor Softball Association and head coach of the U16s, Darren Russell said it’s an exciting time for the Battlefords Minor Softball program.

“It’s definitely an exciting time, and I know the teams are all looking forward to getting back on the road and at it,” Russell said. “The players were all excited, the coaches and parents are looking forward to it, and it should be a great weekend to play some ball.”

Each team will play games Friday and Saturday, with the potential to make the playoff rounds later in the weekend. For all the latest news and events on each of the minor softball teams, visit the Battlefords Minor Softball website, or find them on Facebook.
