Grade Four class learns about and addresses municipal issues
This past year, a grade four class at St. Francis School learned about municipal and provincial government as a part of their social studies program.
As a part of the lesson, the students sent letters to city council which were read by councilors and the mayor.
(Council Agenda Package/City of P.A)The students felt many of the letters should be brought to the city’s attention. They addressed concerns about homelessness, a new bridge, and smoking at public parks, concerns some of their parents would share as well.
