Two Prince Albert teams win medals at the Baseball Sask. Provincial Championships

The Prince Albert Royals 11U and 13U AA teams were able to both medal in the 2021 Baseball Sask. Provincial Championships over the weekend.

According to a media release, the 11U division won gold and the 13U brought home a silver medal.

The 11U team made their way to Unity, Sask. where they beat the Sandhill River Rats 10-0 in the semi-final game in AA Tier 3. Marcus Exner pitched a complete game and was one batter shy of a perfect game. They went on to beat the Humboldt Dodgers 4-1 in the final to capture gold for the second year in a row. Nash Noble was on the mound for five innings and Jet Miller finished the game with a scoreless six winning.

The 13U came away from the AA Tier 1 provincial championship in Muenster, Sask. with a silver medal. In the semi-final the Royals beat the Weyburn Beavers 8-3 behind the seven innings pitched by Carter Krip. In the finals the Royals lost 4-0 to the Muenster Red Sox.
