Wadena man facing drug related charges following vehicle stop on Highway 16
An investigation by the Saskatoon RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) led to the seizure of methamphetamine, heroin, and a handgun recently.
On July 22, the CRT stopped a vehicle on Highway 16 after their investigation indicated that its driver may be involved in drug trafficking.
They searched the vehicle and a home in Wadena where they seized 262 grams of methamphetamine, 121 grams of heroin, money, a handgun, four prohibited gun magazines, drug trafficking packaging, and a cutting agent.
Brett Wilfred Holte, 33, of Wadena is facing several drug-related charges, 3 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and one count of unlicensed possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon among other charges. Holte appeared in court and has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on July 29 in Saskatoon.
