Access Communications summer BBQ tour to make stops in Battlefords, Meadow Lake

Jul 30, 2021 | 3:00 PM

Access Communications is currently embarking on their Summer BBQ Tour, and will be making stops at several local communities along the way, including North Battleford and Meadow Lake.

The not-for-profit, community-owned co-operative is thanking its communities by giving away free hot dogs, hamburgers and gifts to guests across Saskatchewan. Visitors will also have the chance to enter to win one of three customized Access Communications Children’s Fund Yeti coolers.

Communications Manager at Access Communications, Fran Moran said the initiative is something they as an organization are looking forward to hosting this year.

“It is a privilege to serve our communities [and] the Summer BBQ Tour is our way of letting customers know just how much we appreciate them,” Moran said. “With our provincial re-opening underway, we can finally hit the road and thank our communities in person. The response from our towns has been overwhelmingly positive and they can’t wait to see us either.”

The Summer BBQ Tour will stop in 60 communities total over 10 weeks, including: Unity Aug. 3, Maidstone Aug. 4, North Battleford Aug. 17, Macklin Aug. 17, and Meadow Lake Aug. 19.

Each event will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
