A Kinistino man is $100,000 richer after buying a Lotto Max ticket last month in Melfort.

Brian Shmyr got his winning ticket at the Circle K Convenience store on Saskatchewan Ave.

“I scanned my ticket on the Lotto Spot! app at home, ” Shmyr said in a release. “I jumped up, did a little dance…and threw my back out.”

He checked the ticket on June 15 to find out he had won; he then took it to the store to confirm his winnings.

“Once I verified it at the store, I did another little jig and some hoot and hollering,” Shmyr said.

He plans to pay off some bills and put some money into his son’s college fund.

“After that, I’m going to go fishing,” Shmyr said.

Shmyr won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number – 6066649.
