Air Ronge house fire results in heavy smoke damage

The La Ronge Regional Fire Department and La Ronge RCMP attended to a house fire in Air Ronge on Monday.
The fire department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 7:55 p.m. after the homeowner called 911 when she noticed smoke coming from the basement. Firefighters remained on the scene for three hours.
According to fire chief Keaton Cloud, there was significant damage to the basement of the house and heavy damage throughout the rest. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
