Battlefords drive-thru vaccination clinic ending Friday

Aug 5, 2021 | 3:05 PM

The drive-thru clinic for COVID-19 vaccinations in the Battlefords will soon be closing up shop.

Friday will be the final day that the clinic is available at the CAT Finning Building on the south side of Highway 16 East, heading into the town of Battleford. The clinic is open from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This comes as the province begins winding down drive-thru clinics and most booked clinics.

However, there will be mobile clinics set up in the community over the rest of the month, starting with two on Friday. Valley Ford will have one from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., while the Frontier Mall Farmer’s Market will have the other from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

As of August 5, there are 50,251 positive cases of COVID-19 in the province, with a total of 581 deaths, which comes with a fatality rate of roughly 1.2 per cent. More than 75 per cent of saskatchewan residents 12 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
