Visitation limits in place at multiple Lloydminster facilities
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is advising the public of increased risk of COVID-19 in Lloydminster and restricting access at multiple facilities
Family presence and visitation are moved to Level 1 at the Dr. Cook Extended Care Centre, Jubilee Home, Lloydminster Continuing Care Centre and Lloydminster Hospital. This means one person can be present at a time indoors, while there’s no limit on numbers outdoors. That changes slightly for a situation involving end-of-life care.
The SHA is also strongly urging Saskatchewan residents to continue to take steps to reduce transmission, such as limiting gatherings, staying home if unwell and monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19.
As of August 18, the province has recorded 586 deaths from COVID-19 out of 51,630 positive cases, for a fatality rate of 1.1 per cent. There are currently 271 deaths listed for those ages 80 and older.
