Participants raced towards the finish at Melfort’s Amazing Race
The popularity of the Amazing Race on TV has opened up a world of possibilities for the City of Melfort.
Their Amazing Race Melfort event had teams travelling all over the city in search of clues and activities.
The winning team received the honour of deciding which local charity received the registration fees collected from the event.
Shannon Marshall, Recreation and Aquatics manager with the city, said the winning team has decided to donate the funds to the North East SPCA with Modern Flare topping off the donation with an additional $100. The sponsorship from local businesses also ensured that every team got to take home a prize as well, she said.
