Conservative incumbent Rosemarie Falk seeks re-election in Battlefords-Lloydminster riding

Conservative Party incumbent Rosemarie Falk hopes to be re-elected as MP in the Battlefords-Lloydminster riding in the upcoming federal election.

She said the reason she put her name on the ballot hasn’t changed since she first ran for public office five years ago.

“I care very much about our local communities here, our families here and our local economies,” she said.

Falk was first elected in a federal by-election in 2017 when long serving MP Gerry Ritz retired. She was re-elected in 2019.

She currently serves as the shadow cabinet minister for seniors. Falk is also a member of the standing committee on human resources, skills and social development and status of persons with disabilities.

From Lloydminster, Sask., Falk is married with three children, and has a background in social work.

Falk is currently on the campaign trail, and visited North Battleford Monday.

“We’ve been trying to hit as many communities as we can in the short time that we have with the snap election…,” she said. “We are making our way to as many places as we can to talk to as many voters as possible.”

In speaking with constituents, Falk said she is hearing that people are ready for a change in government.

“They want their future secured,” she said. “Canada’s Conservatives have a Canada recovery plan that is going to do just that, which will secure jobs, secure accountability, secure mental health, secure the country and secure our economy.”
