Lloydminster Hospital at Level 2 visitation restrictions
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is limiting family presence/visitation again in Lloydminster.
Those hoping to see loved ones at Lloydminster Hospital are restricted to Level 2 visitation, with specified requirements for masking, screening and other safety measures. All patients/residents can designate one essential family/support person to provide in-person care, while more than one person can only be designated in critical or intensive care units, end-of-life care and maternal, postpartum or pediatric units. Timing and frequency will be determined in collaboration with staff patents and the support person(s).
The SHA is strongly urging Saskatchewan residents, including those in Lloydminster where there’s increased risk of transmission of COVID-19, to continue to take precautions. This includes social distancing, hand washing and limiting the size of gatherings.
As of Sept. 8, Saskatchewan has 57,243 positive cases of COVID-19 and 181 hospitalizations. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 615 deaths, which comes to a fatality rate of 1.1 per cent. The active case total is at 3,331 (431 in the North West) and 53,297 residents have recovered.
