UPDATE: RCMP are searching for a missing 14-year-old girl in Melfort

Update: As of 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 5, the Melfort RCMP have released a statement that Megan Cadrain has been located safe.

The RCMP would like to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Melfort RCMP is searching for a missing 14-year-old girl.

At approximately 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Mounties received a missing persons complaint for Megan Cadrain. Cadrain left a residence on Elizabeth Street in Melfort during the early morning hours of Sunday.

Cadrain was last seen on Broadway Avenue North near the intersection with Saskatchewan Dr. W at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Cadrain was last seen wearing striped shorts, an oversized white t-shirt and no shoes.

Megan is 5’4 and 110 lbs. She was long blond hair and green eyes. She has a small freckle on her right cheek.

Investigators are looking for her and ask that any businesses in the City of Melfort review their security footage for a female matching her description between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Anyone that finds footage of Megan or has information as to her whereabouts is call the Melfort RCMP at 306-752-6420.
