Bronco comeback snaps North Stars win streak
A lapse the third period cost the Battlefords North Stars Friday evening.
Leading 2-0 over the Humboldt Broncos heading into the final stanza, the Stars failed to hold onto their lead, as the visitors scored three answered goals to complete the comeback. The win comes a week after the Stars doubled up the Broncos 6-3.
A key moment in that third period was simultaneous penalties taken by North Stars players, which included a 10 misconduct penalty for Holden Doell. This man advantage lead to the Broncos scoring the lone power play tally of the contest.
Ulrik Roussel stopped 29 of 32 shots, while Colby Bear and Easton Johns were the goal scorers for the Stars in the second period. Humboldt goaltender Rayce Ramsay posted 35 saves in the win.
