Planned power outage for James Smith Cree Nation on Wednesday

A planned power outage on the James Smith Cree Nation will affect around 200 customers on Wednesday.

SaskPower spokesperson Joel Cherry told northeastNOW the crown corporation is replacing power poles in the area.

“The work is being done to raise some lines for safety reasons,” Cherry said.

The power is being shut off at 10 a.m. when work on the lines will commence.

“The school and the clinic will have power back on at around noon,” Cherry said.
