Fundraiser Night Out

North Stars to present an evening of Kelly Taylor

The Battlefords North Stars will be hosting a comedy night fundraiser next month as the team will present comedian, Kelly Taylor Dec. 3 at the Don Ross Centre.

The evening will include a catered supper from Sigstads Prairie Catering, as well as a silent auction and a licensed bar throughout the night.

Office assistant with the North Stars, Kennedy Schmidt said it’s an event the team is looking forward to hosting, as it provides an opportunity to connect with the community in a fun night out away from the rink.

“We really can’t wait,” Schmidt said. “We’re excited to have something to go to in the community like this, and it’s going to be a really fun night that will really help out the club too.”

Kelly Taylor will take to the stage at 8 p.m. Once his performance is over, there will be a social and wrapping up of the silent auction for the evening.

Schmidt said the entertainment, coupled with the added social element make it a great office Christmas event for businesses and supporters around the local area.

“Quite a few businesses have already bought tables and I know some families are coming from different places outside the community, in addition to those around here as well,” she said. “We have some great silent auction items already too, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it all come together.”

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for a cocktail hour, with supper to follow at 6 p.m.

Tables of eight are available for $400. The deadline for table sales is November 24.

In accordance with the rules in place for ticketed events in the Battlefords, everyone who attends the Kelly Taylor night must be double vaccinated, with their second shot coming prior to Nov. 19.

Masks as of right now will be required when moving around the building, but able to be removed once seated for eating/drinking.
