Broncos announce McGrath’s post-secondary commitment

Conner McGrath has committed to post-secondary education the Broncos announced yesterday in a press release.

The LeRoy, Sask. native has committed to Ferris State University of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) in Big Rapids, Mich.

McGrath has been having a stellar first season with the Humboldt Broncos following two seasons with the Weyburn Red Wings.

In his last 20 regular season games, McGrath earned eight goals and 20 assists in 20 games and is currently the top scorer for the Broncos and second in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

McGrath said in a recent Broncos press release he is excited for the future.

“It’s an honour to be able to further my hockey career and education at such a great school and program,” he said.

“We are really excited for Connor and feel it’s much deserved after his start to the season,” said Broncso head coach and general manager, Scott Barney.
