Eight more COVID-19 deaths reported in province, 182 new cases

The province reported another 182 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Nov. 11, bringing the total to 79,212 reported cases.

Of the new cases, 33 were identified in Northern Saskatchewan; Far North West (three), Far North East (four), North West (16), North Central (11)

There were also eight deaths reported today bringing the total to 886 residents with COVID-19 who have died.

There are currently 1,428 active cases across the province. Just over 34 per cent of new cases are in the age category of 11 years or under and almost two-fifths of new cases were fully vaccinated.

As of Nov. 11, a total of 178 individuals are in hospital including 49 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 178 patients, 110 were not fully vaccinated. In addition to the Saskatchewan ICU counts, there are 13 residents in out of province ICUs.

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 137 or 11.4 new cases per 100,000.

The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported eight new cases in NITHA communities; 5 (63 per cent) were unvaccinated and two (25 per cent) were partially vaccinated and 1 (13 per cent) was fully vaccinated.

There are 69 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.
These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 0; Far North West, 17; Far North East, 11; North Central, 35; and North East, 6. There are 6775 (98%) recovered cases, and 6 people are hospitalized.
