High scoring weekend for Broncos in La Ronge
The Humboldt Broncos hit the road again this weekend as they headed up north to La Ronge to take on the Ice Wolves.
The 10th place Ice Wolves hosted the first place Broncos with two games at the Mel Hegland Uniplex on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13.
The green and gold kicked off Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SHJL) action with a 10-2 win. Even with a two goal lead midway through the first period, the Broncos would tie it up with goals from Alec Saretzky and Matthew Perkins to finish off the first period.
After that it was all Broncos gracing the game sheet with another goal from Saretzky and Perkins, two from Conner McGrath and one more a piece for Rhett Gibson and Noah Barlage. Newly acquired Bronco, Alex Morozoff, hit the ice sprinting with two goals of his own to kick off his SJHL career. The Broncos would total 19 assists in 10 goals.
