City of Melfort hosting second annual Christmas lights contest and twinkle tour
The City of Melfort is bound to start looking brighter as the second annual Christmas lights contest gets underway.
Over 100 houses had Christmas displays throughout the holidays last year, all vying for one of three prizes.
Recreation programmer Shannon Marshall told northeastNOW the contest is a great way to spread Christmas cheer throughout the community.
“There’s a lot of people who put a lot of work into their light displays so we want to make sure to nominate them and recognize them,” Marshall said. “The other part is so the community can get out and enjoy those displays.”
