Bell nominated for Saskatchewan Music Award

Nigel Bell, a Lac La Ronge Indian Band member, is a 2021 Saskatchewan Music Awards nominee.

The announcement was made Thursday by SaskMusic executive director Mike Dawson. Bell was nominated for Electronic Artist of the Year under the stage name Nige B alongside Patrick Moon Bird, Rumpus, Theo Noble, and Ava Wild and Merky Waters.

In April, Bell released a six-track EP album entitled Circa 1990 through Wristshot Records on all major platforms. The genre is considered lo-fi hip hop.

The Saskatchewan Music Awards honour excellence in the Saskatchewan music industry and celebrate the achievements of music industry members over the past year. An awards event announcing the winners will be streamed online Jan. 20, 2022, in conjunction with the Very Prairie: Saskatchewan Music Summit.
