Multiple shining stars for Broncos in weekend split with Bombers
The Humboldt Broncos were once again on the road this past weekend as they faced Flin Flon.
While the green and gold would split the weekend with a 4-3 shootout win on Friday and a 6-3 loss on Saturday, the series still meant some strong performances from numerous players.
Since joining the team on Nov. 20, goalie William Dyke earned his first win on Friday stopping 34 out of 37 shots on goal, as well as two in the shootout.
Dyke told northeastNOW it has been a whirlwind settling down in his new home, especially when his first night on the bench was just two hours after he first arrived in Humboldt after an eight-hour drive.
