Porcupine Plain hospital without emergency services over holidays

Emergency services will be disrupted in Porcupine Plain over the holidays.
From 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 20 to 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, emergency room and outpatient services will not be available at Porcupine Carragana Hospital.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) cited a lack of physician coverage as the cause of the disruption to services.
Anyone in need of emergency services in the Porcupine Plain area is encouraged to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Non-urgent related questions can be directed to the Provincial Health Line at 811.
