Loon Lake RCMP trying to locate deceased woman’s family
RCMP in Loon Lake are asking for assistance in locating the family of Brittany Blackwell.
The 64 year-old passed away in the RM of Loon Lake on Oct. 23 and police have been trying to locate her family to inform them of her passing since then. So far their attempts have been unsuccessful.
Loon Lake RCMP Sgt. Earl Keewatin stressed in a release the detachment is not investigating her death and is just focusing on locating her next-of-kin.
“We’ve been trying to find her family for almost two months now,” Keewatin said. “We’ve made local inquiries, checked RCMP databases and asked community partners to share any information they can about Brittany. We understand this is not the typical way to reach out to next-of-kin, but we are now asking the public to help us identify members of her family.”
