One of five people charged after a drugs and weapons seizure in Prince Albert, has entered not guilty pleas.

Kent Misponas, 26, is facing a total of 13 charges in connection to the incident in January, 2021.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Street Enforcement Team (SET), along with the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT), went to a residence in the 400 block of Seventh St. E.

As a result of their search, officers seized body armour, a rifle, a shotgun, several rounds of ammunition, a starter pistol, and varying amounts of illicit drugs, including crack cocaine and meth.

When the court case was spoken to on Friday at Prince Albert Provincial Court, the trial date for Misponas was scheduled for April 26.

One of the co-accused, Justin Charles, was scheduled to face trial in November but did not show up and remains on bench warrant status.

He had been out on bail since the previous May and not guilty pleas were entered to his 13 charges, at a hearing two months prior.

Two women and a third man were charged with possession of a controlled substance.
