RCMP still searching for 48-year-old man
Rosthern RCMP have been searching since Dec. 22 for 48-year-old Leslie Peesker, and released an update on Sunday saying the search continues. Peesker was initially reported missing on Dec. 22, and the RCMP asked for the public’s help in their search the following day.
Peesker was last seen riding his bicycle on his way to Prince Albert back on Oct. 14.
“The dangerously cold weather and snow fall that we have been experiencing over the past few weeks adds to our concern for Leslie,” Sgt. Jacqueline Spence of the Rosthern RCMP said in a statement. “Family members reported that Leslie may camp outdoors for periods of time, but it is out of character for him to have not checked in.”
Investigators ask residents that live along Highway 11 from Rosthern to Prince Albert to check their properties, particularly outbuildings, for any signs of Leslie and/or clothing or items that seem out of place.
