Cause of blaze on 19 St. E still under investigation

The local fire department is still investigating after a shed caught fire this past weekend.

On Saturday, firefighters were called to a property on 19th Street East near Third Ave for reports of a structure fire.

A large shed was fully engulfed in flames and quickly put out by fire crews.

The landlord of the property spoke to paNOW confirming it was one of his tenant’s sheds that caught fire.

He said the shed carried mostly tools and added the fire could have been caused by a wood heater or cigarette.

He thanked the P.A. Fire Department for getting there quickly and containing the blaze.

The department said no one was injured and the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
