P.A.’s Danton Cox signs with Broncos for 2022-23 season
Just ahead of a Broncos away game tonight in Melville, the Broncos announced the signing of Prince Albert’s Danton Cox for the 2022-23 season.
The 17-year-old has already played four games with Broncos this season as an associate player.
In 29 games with the Prince Albert Mintos U18 AAA, the defenceman has 17 points, seven goals and 10 assist so far this season.
“We believe that Danton was ready to play in the SJHL this year, which is saying a lot about his game for his age, said head coach Scott Barney in a recent press release. “We came into this season with a very experienced blueline, so in turn, to continue his development, we thought it was better for him with one more season in Prince Albert where he’ll be playing a ton of minutes and in all situations to continue to grow his game.”
