Jan 25, 2022 | 4:12 PM

The Prince Albert Fire Department responded to a house fire in the west flat area this morning.

Deputy fire chief Alex Paul told paNOW they were called to a home at 11 a.m. at the 900 block of 18th Street West. He added when they arrived the single family bungalow was fully engulfed in the blaze.

“Our crews did a defensive exterior attack to knock the fire down and it’s presently considered under investigation. It hasn’t even cooled to the point where we can have investigators go inside the building,” Paul said, adding the earliest they’ll get investigators inside will be tomorrow.

At times the smoke was so thick you could no longer see the home. (Ian Gustafson/paNOW Staff)

SaskTel and SaskEnergy trucks were also observed to be on scene.

There were also no injuries to be reported from the incident.
