WHL postpones second straight Raiders game for not having enough healthy players due to COVID-19 protocols

The Prince Albert Raiders will see a second straight postponement, due to COVID-19 protocols.

The Western Hockey League (WHL) announced Saturday’s game between the Raiders and the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Art Hauser Centre will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date. This comes one day after pushing back Friday’s game in Regina against the Pats.

The WHL said the Raiders were not able to meet the minimum requirement of 14 healthy skaters due to “multiple players” being in COVID-19 protocol, and “others experiencing non-COVID related illness.”

The WHL noted the Raiders had “six more players” enter COVID-19 protocol in Thursday’s announcement.
