Humboldt Big Brothers Big Sisters getting ready for Bowl for Kids Sake event

Feb 1, 2022 | 9:00 AM

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in Humboldt will host their signature fundraising event in one week’s time.

Bowl for Kids Sake sees participants collect pledges prior to bowling at Kemway Lanes during the week of Feb. 7 to 13.

Development coordinator with BBBS Jodie Hergott told northeastNOW this is the 42nd edition of the event.

“We are able to have in-person bowling and we also offer a virtual option for everybody so you can bowl most any place on most any device,” Hergott said.

The virtual bowling app was new last year as organizers came up with a new way to participate while still raising funds for BBBS.

Each year there is theme to accompany the event with this year being ‘Out of this world.’

“Dust off your Jedi robe or if you have a Mork and Mindy robe in the tickle trunk. Just have fun with the theme and bowl for kids sake,” Hergott said.

To register for the event, call the BBBS office at 306-682-2829 and then call Eric at Kemway Lanes at 306-682-2344 to book a lane.

There will be numerous prizes being given away during the event including a chrome book for the highest pledge earner in youth category.
