New Pizza Hut owners excited for return to Melfort

Melfort can once again enjoy a family favourite with the return of Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut has opened now at 1920 E Service Road in Melfort. Although they opened just over a week ago, the business has been welcomed with open arms.

Co-owner, Vijay Patel, told northeastNOW that they have been planning for this business for a while now.

“We visited the gas station last summer around June and at the time we decided to open. So it took more than seven months.”

There is currently no option for dine-in, although customers can pick up their orders or have them delivered to the comfort of their own home. Drivers will deliver anywhere within eight kilometres of the business.

Long term Melfort residents will remember the Pizza Hut Express that formerly shared a location with KFC.

“If they are looking for the same kind of experience as you get in big cities, we have those options now which wasn’t available with the express location,” Vijay said.

Fellow co-owner, Bhavesh Patel, explains that Pizza Hut will be a brand new experience for Melfort and surrounding areas.

“This is a completely different concept. We use fresh dough for pizzas. It’s new menus with desserts and wings.”

The pair own a series of Pizza Huts across Saskatchewan and plan on expanding again in the northeast.

“We have Martensville, Warman, Nipawin, Kindersley, Melfort and we are opening in Tisdale in a couple of months.”

As the business just opened, they have been putting the final pieces of the business together to give customers the best possible experience.

“From next week onwards, we are going to have our updated menu and our website will be online. Everything will be available so everyone can easily order and use all the options.”
