Warrants issued, arrests following violent incidents in Meadow Lake
Meadow Lake RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating two suspects involved in three violent incidents that occurred over the weekend and have already resulted in the arrest of three people.
Thirty year-old Jerrico Lasas and 26-year-old Kayla Lasas from Waterhen Lake First Nation, 31-year-old Ronald Campbell from Buffalo Narrows all face numerous criminal charges, while 28-year-old Brian Maurice from Flying Dust First Nation (FDFN) and 24-year-old Chantal Roy from Meadow Lake have warrants out for their arrest.
Police first got a call on Feb. 11 of a man banging on the door of a residence on Sixth Avenue East, yelling that someone was going to shoot him. Furthers reports stated a vehicle had pulled up, a male exited and forced the man banging on the door into the vehicle with him, leaving the scene in an unknown direction.
Shortly after this incident, at approximately 8:25 p.m., RCMP received a report of an injured adult female seeking assistance at a residence on Second Street East in Meadow Lake, reportedly sporting serious injuries that included having three fingers cut off of one hand. Five minutes later, police got a call of a second injured adult female seeking assistance at a residence on FDFN. She reportedly also had what were reported to be serious injuries which included having two fingers cut off one hand.
