Woman arrested, warrant issued in mail theft, assault investigation

Police have arrested Brenda Partridge and issued a warrant for another suspect, related to a serious assault in Meadow Lake back in late January.

Loon Lake RCMP located and arrested the 36 year-old Meadow Lake resident in Loon Lake on Feb. 16. She was wanted on multiple charges, after a woman was forcibly confined and assaulted and mail was seized in relation to an ongoing investigation.

Patridge has appeared in court and was remanded into custody until her next appearance in Meadow Lake on March 7.

As a result of further investigation into the mail located and seized at the residence, Meadow Lake RCMP have now charged 19 year-old Dallas Gunn with possession of property obtained by crime and eight counts of possession of matter stolen from mail.
