Robbery suspect enters not guilty pleas

A man who is alleged to have tried to steal a vehicle, after threatening the occupants inside with an imitation gun, is maintaining his innocence.

Joshua Naytowhow, 29, was not present when his matters were discussed Monday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

On his behalf, Naytowhow’s legal aid lawyer entered not guilty pleas to a number of charges related to robbery, possession of a weapon, and breach of probation. A trial date was then scheduled for June 22.

On Dec. 14, 2021, police were called to the Sturgeon Lake First Nation for a report of a robbery and after investigating, police found out the man approached a vehicle where he threatened those inside. The occupants fled without injury.
